Safeguarding

At Little Stars Nursery, safeguarding is a key priority for us. The staff are all trained in safeguarding to various levels; from basic awareness to Level 4. A culture of safeguarding exists across the nursery and we endeavour to keep your children safe at all times.

Safeguarding Officers

Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)

Our manager, Katie Steel is the DSL for the setting. Katie has completed advances safeguarding level 2 through the local authority and Level 3 safeguarding with the NDNA

Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)

Our deputy managers, Amy Stephens and Courtney Muckle are the DDSL for the setting.

They have completed advanced level 2 safeguarding though our local authority and Level 3 safeguarding through the NDNA.

Safeguarding Officers

Safeguarding Officers for the setting are our senior staff, Claire Jackson and Fae Drant.

They have completed advanced level 2 safeguarding though our local authority.

All staff complete Safeguarding training via educare as part of their induction week prior to starting work at nursery.
