Safeguarding

At Little Stars Nursery, safeguarding is a key priority for us. The staff are all trained in safeguarding to various levels; from basic awareness to Level 4. A culture of safeguarding exists across the nursery and we endeavour to keep your children safe at all times.

Safeguarding Officers

At Little Stars Day Nursery, we operate a hierarchy system for safeguarding. We have staff trained from basic awareness through to level 4.

All of our senior staff are qualified to level 2 in safeguarding and are our safeguarding officers. Our nursery Managers are qualified for levels 2 and 3 and our deputy manager to level 4.

It is a requirement that before any new employee starts with us they complete a mandatory basic awareness qualification through our educare platform. This is within our safer recruitment process.

Our team are aware of who our safeguarding officers are and will pass any concerns to such officers who will then assess the information and carry out the necessary next steps in line with our policies and procedures which can be found within the ‘Safeguarding’ section on our website.
